Miami Beach Tutti Frutti. A Money weaving, a diptych of South Beach. Mixed media fiber art, woven by hand on my loom.
I wanted to celebrate the Glory Days (pre C-19) of glitz and bling in fabulous South Beach, so I used gold metallics on linens to lay the foundations. Then I wove in exotic tropical yarns, primarily in plumes of pink. And of course money, lots and lots of money, is interwoven with images of this lovely island paradise I call home. I framed the works with deep ocean teal/blue.
