Mangrove Tunnels, Day. Hand woven, mixed media tapestry art by Pamela Palma Designs. When you kayak through the Everglades by day, the mangrove canopies over the waterways creates this mottled effect. I wove it using silk fabrics which I had painted and printed with tropical foliage. I cut and tore in the cloth into strips and wove them in with yarn and shredded money, US currency.

Beautiful as as a diptych.
